Yes, that's right but I tend to add a question mark next to the number so that if the allocated loco is altered it saves some clever ba….ard informing us that I was wrong. <BJ>

Well, No,9, is a frequent and welcome visitor to Paington and Kingswear. It will be good to see and hear her again.

    Copied from UoSA FB page

Unfortunately due to worries over fire risk, The Torbay Express which Number 9 is due to work tomorrow will be diesel hauled with Number 9 coupled behind the diesel locomotive.

What I don't get is why 09 will be behind the diesel and not vice versa.

So why bother with UoSA? Clearly the Western Region of NR has made a decision.

Exactly Al. Shocking way to run the train. Lost us a couple of hundred quid again but not TBEL's fault though they could have cancelled as it is a Bristol start. No service trains in that time of day. Perhaps it will do a Cumbria and chuck it down overnight.

I don't think it is. When hundreds of people have had journeys delayed and all the problems that can cause to then and the operating company it should not be a surprise. This information, from the WSR thread, puts things in focus. Those delays will also affect return journeys back to London and elsewhere.

From Network Rail: ''A property on fire near the railway between Castle Cary and Taunton is causing disruption to journeys between these stations.
Services may be cancelled, delayed or revised''.

1C79 Padd - Penzance (the train that followed 6233) was delayed at Somerton by 15 min.
1C80 Padd - Newquay delayed by 67 mins.
1C81 Padd- Penzance delayed by 68 mins.
1A82 Penzance - Padd delayed by 75 min

What caused the property fire?? The Duchess? Not many properties that near the lineside.
