35018 just gone through KS alone on the webcam

 

And tender first on the other track

 

Looks great but what's happening to the train...it's gonna be real late back at York...probably diesel ???

 

From my Track Atlas it looks like it, unless you could propel the train and use the Appleby crossovers, which I suspect would not be allowed. Plus you would probably have to detrain everyone as well.

 

Update: 35018 proceeded to KS and can be seen running back towards Carlisle on Railcam. Landslide at Dent apparently.
As there's only one crossover at KS 35018 must be going right back to Appleby, leaving the train at KS! Will she cross over there and return to collect the train at KS?
The up line is shown as "shut" at Petterell Bridge Jct.

 

AND....landslide......ohhhh dear, hope its minor

 

But the train isn't at KS !! Nothing is now

 

Crossed over at KS and ran back Northbound.

A landslip between Skipton and Carlisle means all lines are blocked between these stations. As a result of this, buses will replace trains until the end of the day.

Customer Advice:

Road transport has been requested to operate between Skipton and Carlisle. This will be operated by B&N, Spencer Graham Coaches, Harris Travel and Treets Travel.

Customers from Carlisle travelling to Leeds may travel via Preston and Manchester. Train tickets will be accepted on Virgin Trains and Transpennine Express services.

Customers from Leeds travelling to Leeds may travel via Preston and Manchester. Train tickets will be accepted on Virgin Trains and Transpennine Express services.

Diesels that were waiting at Hellifield to take over from 35018 dep Carnforth 1945 1Z99 to Carlisle via Shap. 57001 & 57601 AFAIK.
