As expected Clan line has passed her FTR for tomorrows trip around the Shalford circuit.

Here is my footage of Clan line seen climbing from Shalford in the rain, with hardly any slipping. Such an awesome soundtrack.

 

Well done for venturing out in that. It looks as if Clan Line will get back to the Lane as filthy as it did after the Exeter trip ☹️

Look carefully at the platform numbers for 1Z91 and 1Z92
Clan Line is prohibited from platforms 3 & 4 at Bristol TM, so more shunting is involved.

I can't remember the last time when a steam charter was allowed to use platforms 3 and 4. The island platforms or through lines are used due to clearance restrictions.

On one occasion a returning Royal Duchy was routed into platform 3. Fortunately the crews were on the ball and realised the error.
Although the train was running to time it still took over 30 mins before the train arrived at the correct platform (5).

For those who are unfamiliar with platforms 3 and 4, they are the same (long) platform. Platform 4 is numbered for services heading west while platform 3 is numbered for services heading in the opposite direction. <BJ>

 

Clan Line on today's Belmond to Bath and Bristol:

 

1222L. Still sat in Challow Loop.

 

The delay at Challow was due to an issue with the water tanker.

Thanks for posting that. I had wondered if it wouldn't stick to that schedule. Haven't seen anything on clan line's Twitter feed showing any changes for the return. Will assume the timing is per link.
