Waverley - 2019

45596 Bahamas at Bolton Percy, around 10am. Footage of this run will be available in the near future on DVD with GB Productions. Sorry about the picture quality, taken from my mobile phone.

 

On time at Newlay. Load 11 no diesel. Looked an absolute picture on a bright morning.

Don't worry about the picture quality, any picture of Bahamas or other mainline steam is o.k. by me. I occasionally post a "snap" taken from my ancient videocam, and have to realise I'm not in competition with the serious "photters" whose superb efforts will no doubt be appearing shortly on this thread, and others.

My other pic half hour before departure after a late start from hellifield no water stop at Appleby due to been late (i presume) 7 mins late in carlisle anyhow and a good day out on 45596 with my younger brother on his 2nd mainline outing on the S. AND C.

Despite leaving York 15 mins late, Bahamas is seen ambling along crossing the RIver Wharfe at Ulleskelf. Ten seconds later she opened up and the sun came out, c'est la vie!

Threatening skies, wind and rain, welcome to summer as 'Bahamas works through Selside with the northbound 'Waverley'



With a fortunate let up in the rain just long enough for 'Bahamas' to work through Ribblehead Station with the returning 'Waverley'
