LE Movements, ECS and Test Runs 2019

I would take the timings with a pinch of salt for any l/e or test run, RealTime trains is your friend on items like this.

 

Quite a ramble but I assume so that No 9 is facing the right way for the DCE on Thursday.

 

Why ??
What's wrong with an early finish for the people involved ? If control says "OK to go" there's no point sitting out in the countryside

Does anyone know if No 9 got back to Southall OK? A friend was told it was rescued by a diesel, but maybe it was diesel piloted all the way.

 

Just the loco and support coach from Bristol. Reported later passing Barnes with 47.245 leading.

Update. The class 47 had earlier hauled the Torbay Express stock from Bristol to Eastleigh arriving at 12:19. The forward LE path to Southall was cancelled.
No.9 was held at Salisbury for 35 mins until 13:33 presumably waiting for 47.245 so that they could return to Southall in tandem. <BJ>
