If you had wanted good weather you should have headed to the west country as it was really nice.
Such a shame that the Torbay Express had a bloody diesel stuck on the front of the A4. Errrrr !! :( <BJ>

    Why thank you.. :).
The train was as good as full, with only few no shows which is not unusual.
Messers Poole and Soames at the sharp end. What was a nice finale, as the empty stock left Burton, Ray set off as he had done from most stops, plenty of noise as they went out of sight.

The empty stock move from Burton was in much better weather than the trip yesterday and as Ralph says above plenty of noise.

You couldn't make it up, at both Tamworth and Coleshill Parkway passengers for a service to Birmingham boarded the charter, 8F on the front, stock nothing like their normal stuff, stewards opening the doors, only when asked if they were booked on the Stratford charter did they reluctantly get off.

Update, likely to be 37 pilot on some of the return due to fire risk.

Thanks for the update - will save me a hot drive out this pm. Is it safe to assume the ecs will be piloted too ?

Very wise. It may be good and reliable but it is also a known fire raiser.
