    Evening All,

Does anybody have updates please on the brookside miniature railway near poynton? I've heard nowt of it since it closed.

Can't remember exactly but I'm sure somebody said it'd got a new owner now & was due to reopen soon. I don't know how much if any of the old railwayana collection has survived or if the new owners have a collection themselves.

I hope it will see a revival as it's a good length little line that had bags of character.

The trains were running again when we popped in last month. Only diesel hauled for now though. There has been much work done to the track including a devation around the tunnel which was unsafe. They suffered badly from flooding during the heavy rain a few weeks ago. Poynton was particularly badly hit and a lot of the railway is very close to river level. Back up and running again now though.

Think test was it wasn't it, basically the collection was sold on now and the operation is now solely diesels.
