I did enjoy the move with Car 14 in the middle of the set; the shunter was stuck in the other portion so it was lovely and peaceful...!

You exaggerate. Clapham yard isn't that big.

Get your facts right that is not a map of Clapham Junction or its yards, Clapham Yorkshire maybe but not Clapham junction south west London. ;)

The funding available for existing committed main line coaches is for the 'screw fix' solution which is ordinary draw bolts operated by door stewards. A central door locking system like that fitted to the DMU would require new funding. The screw fix solution is OK for occasional use but regular daily use would demand a central locking system from a staffing point of view alone.

This is a great image. A long overdue scene that some has almost given up on. The hard work is not over however and the operating licence and other elements are still being worked on to enable the railway to continue the tryal in 2020.

    Back to serious
Assuming a regular Wareham DMU service say 4 times a day starts, thinking of a scenario where an occasional steam service can be viable. Ideally perhaps if a morning and late afternoon service timed so people can travel to Wareham over SWR for a specially advertised day trip, the steam train (with a 33 for one diection) can meet them and take them to Corfe or Swanage, and then back in the afternoon?
Ideally promoted with a special fare like the 2019 Sunday service.
There may have to be extra "Door Steward" trained volunteers helping the guard at Wareham and Norton to ensure the door draw bolts are secured before setting off and then released properly?

73156 will be in service tomorrow (Thursday), on the 10:00, 11:20 and 12:40 trains ex-Swanage. The 10:00 and 11:20 will be round trips, the 12:40 it only works as far as Norden and is then replaced by 80104.

Can anyone tell me which locos are likely to be in service at the weekend please? I have it in my diary that it's Member's Weekend and I fancy a visit.

I understand that the Dorsetman diner is also running on both days.

Looking at the positions of locos on shed this evening, 34053 and 30120 this weekend. I would guess from the fact 30120 is on the blocks that it will be on the dining train, but that is only a guess!

Back at the Great Central Railway now; it was in service at their gala at the beginning of this month.
