Yes. No information yet on the facebook page whether it will be available on Saturday or not. Mind you there wasn't any news about it not hauling the tour last Saturday.

I'm sure that (date) would be right - we enjoyed a memorable moment that day when, on the approach to Shrewsbury on RTC's "Central Wales Explorer" with the Riley 5's, we passed the departing Tornado-hauled Cathex at English Bridge Junction at 17.58. What a sight that would have been for a well positioned bystander !!

Yes that was the right date then. I remember the 5s passing shortly after we left Shrewsbury.

60009 declared a failure at Rugby on it's move to Southall, now moving into the nearby Carriage Sidings for further inspection to a tender axle.

This was on USA's Facebook page a couple of minutes ago.

"As many of you may have seen Number 9 is currently stopped at Rugby with an overheating tender axlebox. Following an examination repairs will be carried out as soon as possible. We have nothing else to report at this time."

Just spoken to RTC and they say No9 will be fixed. Let's hope that is the case...

Refer to LE movements thread, a move has appeared from Rugby - Southall so rectifying works seem to have been done.
