Fitting Vacuum brakes on the bloomer would be a needed step surely if its going to be a working engine, The vac cylinders can easily be fitted under the Tender tank , and a vacuum ejector fitted either inside the smokebox, or hidden away on the back head, should be possible, if the engine is intended to work on the main line, short trips etc, then it will need the same kit as any other main line engine, but much of this can be trunked away, out of sight, under the frames , on the tender or under the tender, even hiden behind tool cupboards etc, under the drivers seat, fireman's seat etc,

Did 1860’s engines generally have seats for the crew? ;)

Certainly an operational 'Bloomer' and matching carriages would offer something fascinatingly different.

It would surely be limited to Firefly or the various Beamish and Rainhill replicas activities which is why is been dormant for so long, it will cost more to build and operate than it can return.

It could probably do a bit. Furness number 20 is from a similar era and that gets a bit of use.

Stockton and Darlington 179 is none operational. Believe its wheel profiles are poor, but not an insurmountable issue.
