Great news. Where ever it goes it will be great to see it back in working order. Bearing in mind how many there are in preservation, there are not many in working order. I have often wondered why the likes of ecclebourne don't do a deal with Derby Council to take one on as a project. MRC surely don't need 4.

Didn't the North Norfolk come close to doing such a deal a few years ago?

But as ecclebourne are in Derbyshire, surely they, along with someone like peak rail, have just as much right to being able to enquire about taking one on. It could easily be argued that MRC are not displaying them to the public (maybe one is on display actually) and that they would be better suited to being split between other sites in Derbyshire, as they are owned by the council. That's just my way of thinking.

I wouldn't disagree with any of that Gav, I really think it's far better to have a piece of kit in action rather than in pieces rusting away in a siding.

I think 3. Wihh one of those being a Barry wreck to be fair. Plus the caprotti 5. But that's nicely on display in the museum so doesn't need to be stripped down etc.

47327 & 47357 came out of Barry and I'm certain Derby C.C. owns them but 47445 came from the NCB, Does Derby own that? And what about the remains of 47564? I don't know exactly how much of it exists but it's only money and the will that is stopping it from being rebuilt.

Edit, searching Nat Pres provides some answers.

With the B12’s going out of ticket at the end of 2020, and the N2 still under overhaul, maybe the NNR will have another go at getting a Jinty on their line?

Don't they still have a 9f, standard 4, 7f, Y14 and WD in working order? They haven't got the most amount of space at the railway so I would be surprised if they wanted more locos. Although I suppose a Jinty is only small.

Thanks for the video, wonderful, brings back memories of Bury's only Jinty 47584 shunting at Rammy in the early 1960's when spending a day at my Grannies, going down town doing the shopping.
