    My sister in law has just texted to say she saw a loco heading south on the M1 earlier today and asked what it was. Usually I’m quite good at answering her railway related questions so for the sake of my pride I’d love to know what it was...

    “Black with red lining” (presumably BR livery), and when I asked if we were talking tender or tank loco she replied ‘bigger than Thomas’, so plenty to go on there...!

    Any thoughts?
