    Following on from some fantastic updates and relevant posts of late ...

    On a cold and frosty January morning a small contingent of young footplate staff met for cutting back just north of Roebuck Gate Crossing.

    I'm proud to be part of such a hard working and dedicated team of like-minded people who equally care and contribute. We're aware that this work will largely go unnoticed but we do it for the love of maintaining 'our railway'.

    It's not all about the 'glory turns' during the running season ... no matter what needs doing, come rain or shine we are on the ground helping to make it happen !

    Is that a trolley for the ganger, or a trolley for the ganger and the gang? Very common error to call a member of the gang 'the ganger'. Mistake I made on my first day on Woking PW in 1974. ("I'M the ganger", said Les.)
