My parents got me the Graham Farish LMS Jubilee (Trafalgar), and all I can say is detailing has come a hell of a long way in the past couple of years hasn't it?

The loco is gorgeous and has such good detailing I cannot believe it, though it is stuggling a bit at the moment.
That is more to do with being in it's box for so long I think though, so I am not that worried for now.

Anyone else get any nice model railway stuff for christmas.

I was after 'Britannia' class Robin Hood or N15, the recent ones. I got the Britannia which was built when Hornby swore by tender driven. Looks promising!

Unlikely Daniel as I do most of the cooking so perhaps she is giving me a night off?.

The problem is getting boxer shorts that light up and sing "Merry Christmas" when your body heat triggers it off, most embarrassing ,I shall murder the kids one of these days.

I got 76079 for the layout. Great model and the detail is stunning. Now time to get a support coach to run with it!

I was going to do the same thing, but I am waiting for the 'A' variant to be released around Spring 2009, complete with early crest as per the real thing. Then, like you, I will be needing a support coach...

... and a DCC sound decoder, smoke generator and an air pump!

    Regards,

    Dan

30450 Sir Kay and 32662. I've noticed that 30450 judders a bit as it moves on the layout, even after two hours of running in. I added a tiny bit of grease which only partially resolved the problem, and it is noticeable when the carriages 'bob' back and forth on the couplings...

    75027 and 4771 for me.

Very nice models, if only I had a layout (or even time to make one!)

I got a slightly weathered BR black Pannier tank from a good friend to join my never ending steam fleet. Along with a limited edition coal wagon with Clacton on Sea on the side.

Let me know how you go in your search for the support coach lads.

Ive got the engine with air pipes, steam heat pipes, air pump and low level tender water fillers. (wrong crest though only noticed once id detailed it all up ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

But i cannot find a maroon MK2 a/b/c BSK/BFK anywhere for the life of me!!! looks like im going to have to find one in another livery and then find someone to spray it for me. just out of interest what are the numbers of the riley support coaches? (all 3 of them would be useful)

I forgot the tender coal rails as well...

The support coach will have to be resprayed from a suitable Bachmann or Hornby donor model. There was a batch of maroon brake vehicles produced when the Mk2's were first released by Bachmann, but they have long sold out.

    Dan

Just detailed my 70038 model with paint. This includes the outer pipework, cab interior and what not. Still needs a few things here and there but so far it's looking good!

Well I'm looking to pick up a decent mk2 and then do everything myself like spray it and then add the detail onto it.

Question regarding lettering, numbers and the creast, is it possible to pick these sort of stickers up from anywhere? Am off to the model exhibition on Jan 18th at Aly Pally so am hoping to find some goodies there. Any ideas guys as this is a first time project for me lol......? :-k
