What's the current status with new build Hunslets from Statfold? Are they still able to build new-builds, or are the ownership rights ect. with Wabtec now?

The Statfold "Hunslet" is a different company to the Wabtec owned operation.

Some years ago, on a visit to Statfold, I was shown the components - cabs, cylinders, wheels - for at least 5 more Quarry Hunslets after the first new one that was built. Probz worth an enquiry, I'm sure that they would love to talk with you about one.

    Cheerz,

    Alan
