    Ive just seen on the rail advent news G.W.S.R. steam gala 23-25 may is off due to corona virus and boris johnsons speech today about unecessary crowd gatherings to try slow down the spread of the dreaded coronavirus.:(

    Yes, sadly postponed until it's safe to hold it. Ordinary services have also been suspended until further notice. I'd be surprised if most other railways didn't follow suit by this time tomorrow.

    Aaah for f....

    Totally understand the reasoning and I applaud their responsibility but this would have been the first time I've seen 257 Squadron in steam and I was really looking forward to it.
    F, F effity F! I hope I get covid-19. I'll flail it alive!
