The thread is titled "S&D Railway Trust and Washford Eviction Notice" and was set up to allow discussion of the actions of the WSR Plc and their effect on the S&D Trust separately from the WSR operations thread. I don't think the S&D Trust has its own thread but no doubt you would be welcome to start one.

At least now for news of the S&D Trust we only need to follow one thread rather than two. <BJ>

Perhaps because there is no news at present. There are other more pressing issues in the world at the moment.

I'm gonna report this post as it does not include the S&DRT or eviction. Oooh look, it cuts both ways.

ETA: I'm not actually going to report anything but I am required by law to point out irony wherever it lies.

How do you work out how to approach a problem if you don't know or understand the background ? The last page is largely a discussion about the structure of the WSR and who controls the policies of the PLC. That has a lot to do with the S & D eviction notice, whichever way you view that.

I had a good thought that imagine if the S&D was originally set up at bishops lydard yard instead. They could have kept kilmersdon in the goods shed and now they’d also be able to run there wagons down to the hault and around the triangle as well. It would of made it much more useful than it is now. The triangle doesn’t get seen by anyone and it’s a lot of track for just engines to go on and no passengers it would be nice to make more uses of it

So they ought to have set up in the early 1970s when Bishops Lydeard was barren so they could run Kilmersdon (which, being brutal, is not a particular draw for many) on wagons over the triangle that wasn't laid until 35 years or so later.

Personally, I think that if there's an issue at Washford, it would have been far worse at BL because the traffic there is so much greater.

Not necessarily, there is direct access to the yard through the gate in the car-park, although that may be locked at times.
