This rather reminds me of the YouTube video of the abandoned loco in a "paddock" at Forbes NSW - its no small loco either! I would post the link if I knew how to but I guess I'll have to let you look it up yourselves if you are interested.

It tells a sorry story of an historic loco (officially, the last NSWGR steam loco to be withdrawn) but at least sister 6029 is up and running these days.

The history of this loco and how it got to its current resting place can be found at www.australiansteam.com. I am writing from Canada and never saw one of these magnificent beasts in action anywhere!!

 

That website lists 6042 as "stored", but looking at the photos of it I would think "left abandoned in a field to rust away" would be more accurate.

 

Ideal for the Isle of Wight steam railway. Just the right size.

 

To put this to bed, it wouldn't be allowed out of Australia. They're pretty fussy about their heritage.
