This is a long shot but there is a lot of knowledge among NP’ers. Some time ago I came across a long video on YouTube of a steam hauled excursion running alongside streets through a German city. Does anyone know in which city it was and when? A YouTube link to the video will be a bonus.
    Thanks in anticipation. Chris

Thanks for your response. This was a standard gauge line and the train was hauled by a large loco, a 4-6-0 or 4-6-2 if my memory is correct. Chris

What colour was it? there as Czech/Slovak/Hungarian one a few years ago with a large loco pulling a train through the streets. That was blue - does that ring any bells?

Bikermike, thanks for your suggestion but as far as I can remember it was a typical German loco, black with red wheels. Chris

Spamcan, Thanks this is the one and I have found several videos on YouTube covering its run through the city. If you need to find anything out about heritage railways or steam hauled rail tours Natpres is the place to find it!
    Cheers, Chris
