Close enough. For the Sci-fi purists, the Tripods were from the BBC Series. Thunderchild was in War of the Worlds but the Martians were in Three legged 'weapons'.

Looks like Eastwood - about 1 mile west of Hebden Bridge - just above the plant yard; a spot I visit quite often for Calder Valley images.

Water stop at Brighouse seems to be taking longer than normal.

We have been delayed by the preceding Blackpool - York service getting into trouble on Copy Pit - we were held at Rose Grove for a long time. Hey ho! Anyway, here's my shot of 60163 'on the blocks' at Lime Street this lunchtime.

    Tornado's ticket to ride 19 September 2020

The sun was shining brightly on Tornado as it entered Liverpool Lime Street for its maiden visit. The sun highlighted brilliantly the sparkling new coat of BR Brunswick Green paint it had received at Carnforth.

Only eleven minutes elapsed between Tornado's entry to the station and its abrupt and speedy departure behind the tailgunner diesel it had dragged along. They were off to Preston for turning and servicing before its late afternoon return to the North East

So only seven photos are at https://pjhtransportpix.zenfolio.com/p334270772

Peter on a cool Manchester evening - feels like Autumn already

Mrs W and I trundled across to Rishton station where we waited with around 20 to 30 others who were observing strict social distancing. The light was fading as Tornado came into view through Rishton tunnel (4L), the characteristic Kylchap exhaust as she worked towards the summit. All too quickly the train sped through the platforms with no apparent help from the tail-gunner; next station Church and Oswaldtwistle.

I have it on very good authority that the diesel was locked out and not in drive on the steam legs.
