Yes all is well and running on time . 506 sounded absolutely superb climbing away towards Meadstead at 1005. Heard it for at least 5 minutes

Couple of snaps from yesterdays excellent day. Thanks again to all involved. Although I didn't travel, well worth the ticket price!

Gala going well so far. Absolutely loving the Jubilee. Anyone know why 41312s first down freight was cancelled. I was at Ropley but never got an answer? Also any updates on if "Bahamas" is operating next weekend?

All I can guess was to get the timetable back on time as the Jubilee was late. Turned around a Alresford and was back on schedule.

The Jub was only 5 late leaving Ropley but presumably enough not to risk the freight at 1102. Good regulating as timekeeping of main trains most important and was good until we left at 1315. Didn’t travel but got some good lineside shots despite the gloom. 506 star of the show for us. Absolute flog up the hill both times we saw it. The trains seemed to have a lot of empty space. Also supported two of the trade stands by making purchases. Well done MHR for a very well organised event and it was nice not to have to jostle with big crowds. A blueprint for all future post Covid events?. Good value and we would have paid more for such quality and comfort even though we didn’t risk travel this time.

Yes, the train wasn't ready in time - too much to do, incuding releasing 76017 from the far end and getting her to the up loop to take water. The water tower in the yard is very slow to refill and was almost empty by the time the locos went off-shed. The timetable was such that any of the goods shuttles could be cancelled to recover some time if required.

A bit late, but here's my footage of Bahamas in action during Day 1 of the Autumn Steam Gala on Friday. I hope you enjoy the video and I can't wait to see her again this weekend as well as the 7F.:):D

I am confused about the workings for this coming weekend, Is it possible to work out which loco's work which trains or is it pot luck?

easy enough, the first train of the day from Alresford is hauled by Bahamas , the first from Alton by 53808, its then a case of working out which service is which during the day, there is only just those two running as far as I know.

Spent a wonderful day at the railway on Saturday. Was good to finally meet @martin1656 and Shadow. I trust you had a good journey home.
As many have said, this was a very well organised and run event. At no time did I ever feel unsafe. There was no crowding even in the yard at Ropley, the announcements and one way systems were clear and concise and the constant cleaning of door handles at every station stop was reassuring that every "i" had been dotted and "t" crossed. If the sun had come out, the day would have been complete. Well done to all those involved involved in putting this event on in such different, difficult circumstances and well done to those who attended and followed the rules making it such a wonderful event.
Here are a few of the pictures I took on the day.

It was nice to meet you Matt (shaggy), and your boy, , yes we got home safe and sound, thanks for asking, Yes the gala was very good, and everyone looked to be obeying the instructions as regards safety etc, Thing to remember is this, a lot of people said, " it can't, or shouldn't be done" that people would not stick with social distancing etc, well from what I observed, everyone seems to have got the message, and was acting responsibly,

As I said in an earlier post I’m sure there’s been a bit of picking of brains of people at the Mid Hants by other railways staff to ask the right questions, could be extremely interesting to see where it leads.
