Thanks Martin, I'm sure we were wondering where the next job was coming from! :D
Seriously though, the Trust have a fundraising mountain to climb before they can start work (I am assuming that the money due from WSR will be like a politician's promise).

Yes we do, though we haven't often at galas in recent times. Partially fitted is preferred due to the gradients.

Latest mhr video has been released today. This time it looks at the Talyllyn railway.

Urie locomotive society magazine (stovepipe) arrived this morning. Always a good read and worth becoming a member of the Urie group.

A very informative magazine, and the ULS is a very "go ahead" organisation

I don’t know about anyone else but I prefer the smaller A5 size magazines to read.

I preferred the A5 format. Incidentally I've still not received my postal copy of Mid Hants news as of today.

I guess when I expressed a desire to receive a digital edition after contacting Neil Marshall via the MHR website members message back in May, I was deleted from the mailing list database.

My copy of the MH News arrived on Thursday this week, and re the email list etc, I emailed the linked address multiple times with no reply - after pestering I did eventually get confirmation I was on the list, but to this day still haven’t had anything other than that confirmation through.

As normal it is a good edition of the magazine, although a bit out of date. Partly to be expected of course, but the majority of the pieces are related to getting ready to reopen. I had a mag from another line drop on the same day which included compete figures for their September operations.

I’ll of course continue my membership etc, but of the eight lines I’m a member of the MHR is the most lacking in this respect, which is a bit of a shame considering the really good work being done at the line (and, on a communication front, in stark contrast to the excellent videos going out each week!).

I actually did get a reply with a link to download MHN no.174 and the enclosures from the original communication back in May. However since that time nothing. Very poor communication subsequently and personally I was disappointed that my last email enquiry about issue no.175 didn't even have the courtesy of a reply.

I also do enjoy the weekly videos, but I think membership communication does leave a lot to be desired at times, which is a shame considering how easy it is to email out to those that have registered email addresses.
