Apparently you have to get a good backend and then just concentrate on the front! Bit like a Bulleid - Just Longer!!! ](*,)

All 12ft I know!! Just swing the shovel!!! You'll get there - I'm looking forward to getting a go!!! [-o<

Apparently everyone has got one go at making and getting it right! Fireman should be glad for 3rd men!!!!

Why is this going to sort out the firemen? It should make it easier. If it's anything like any of the the Maunsell locos I've had expreience of , it'll steam just by showing it the shovel with a couple of lumps of coal on. It's not as if it is going to have to work hard on the Mid Hants unless you are going to hand 10-12 coaches behnid it. \:D/

Sits back and waits for flak!

    Its about 8ft in length.
34007 do you really build the sides up with the back end as I've never heard of that practice apart from perhaps on mainline when the whole grates filled but you're obviously talking about on the MHR??

just been announced by the MHR that:

    From: Colin Chambers
    Sent: 03 February 2009 13:08
    Subject: #850
Haulier advises that Lord Nelson should be here 9/10th Feb 2009.
Not quite January but close enough.
    Colin Chambers
    Managing Director
Mid Hants Railway Ltd 'Watercress Line'

still no announcement from uksteam as to the light engine movement it will take to get there.

It's first service on the line is to be on the 20th February- if all goes to plan, this should give all enthusiasts an excuse to go to MHR on the 'Ivor the engine'
    week. \:D/

Well wait to you try it! ;-)

You always build up the back end with an engine like this and concentrate on the side as Shoddy as said...

And then concentrate on the front, whether mainline or preserved line - that would be my first port of call...
