It would be interesting to read Mr R's comments on this matter.

I think Mr R would rather watch black paint dry than post on this forum just at the moment.......

And you can't blame him. It was a dangerous thing to do by the guy with the camera in the support coach. End of. A photographer, not on the train, considers his shot was ruined. Hells teeth, it's not the end of the world. I 've seen a lot of "unfortunate" comments in the last few pages of this business. "name and shame him" indeed. Sad people. :smt078

Agreed, the photography angle is not really relevant, the safety one is.

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism .... nor to those extremely silly people who continue to harp on about linesiders!!
Pity Notwork Rail probably might not feel the same way, should this unfortunate picture now be seen by someone who really does matter!! Oh for a return to those days of not too long ago when most stock had bars fitted to the droplights! (I wonder if it is the very same people today who were whinging about that, way back then???)

I believe that would be the one, you can tell by the position of Mr Riley and the driver ;).
Now are people going to change their views on the matter because it's PSOV i wonder?

Yeah, i was following more along the lines of how so many people addressed safety issues and how "dangerous" they felt it was.

It will be interesting to see what PSOV, as a professional company, have to say about their cameraman's idiotic and dangerous antics

You can get perfectly acceptable on board shots without getting that far out...

So how much is your rival product, Henry? ;-)

You do get a lot of footage for your money with PSOV, typically over 2 hours. However, the down-side of that is that they have to over-compress the programme to make it fit into 4.7 GB. The last one of their discs I saw had far too many "artifacts" visible even on an old CRT telly. Goodness knows what they look like on a big plasma screen.
