Chris (aka 'Old Mother Goose') features quite a lot, as is only right and proper; he put an enormous effort into the extension. Embarrassed to see so much of me, as well. Many of the faces and names escape me now, but I saw Andrew Moody (of this parish) in one shot, the late Iggy clearing brush, and H. Piggledy (Brian Lawes) who is still involved (his daughter made me a bacon roll yesterday). The job wouldn't (couldn't) be done like that now, but in a world almost without contractors, and a market in plant, we had to do our best. It worked out in the end.

Where is this a picture of? Is this at the new siding. This is an exciting picture. It is either my plan as I hoped that it will be made into something to look at or maybe someone is going to do some work to kilmersdon. I hope the managers say so I can plan to go on a visit

Kilmersdon is now on the Mid Hants Railway, the photo is at Alresford, where the road - rail interchange is, At the moment nothing is known as to the Trust's plans, for this loco, most likily static display somewhere along the line, most likely at Alresford, or Ropley before being overhauled.

It is the best news it is at a line where there is a works that can tighten the all the parts and the boiler to get it running again. Then there is a chance of getting rides. It would be good to have a gala with whiston or another small engine and maybe one wagon that you can get a ride in

I Like the on shed photo, not an GWR engine to be seen,:) and i bet the others told Kilmersdon , " If that Duck waddles over here, you tell him to Quack off " :)

Matt Bentley has just published a picture on Facebook of the loco, and i'm impressed with it, If the S&D Trust are looking for some new images for fund raising items, at their new home, They should be asking Matt, and others if they can use images taken on and around the MHR, the one of Kilmersdon posed with the hoppers, would certainly make a good post card, mouse mat, puzzle etc.

From a ULS colleague, regarding the ULS Open day.:
"It has changed, following the realisation that most restrictions, based on the current roadmap, would be lifted on June 21st, 2 days after our open day. Discussed with railway management and Jul 3rd was available to us. Also 506 will not be running so we can have her on show and in steam. All in all it seemed an opportunity not to be missed, hopefully we can all have a more relaxed time."
    See you then?

The MHR is starting to bring together some interesting locos. A visit is called for, methinks.
