Several Mk1's owned by the Avon Valley but long stored at Long Marston were cleared out of there in December. One TSO had been for sale for some time http://www.cs.rhrp.org.uk/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=1247 Might be worth a phone call.

I’ve sent multiple enquiries over the last 18 months, and every response has been no re: the TSOs.

Yes I have understood that the AVR want to increase their passenger stock. Being diplomatic : space becomes a premium : something (s) have to go.

Did the LMS Oyster Brake Van, which was on the last NRM disposals list, successfully transfer to another organisation?

I was going to ask the same about the SNCF mineral wagon. And, indeed, the Barnum.

I don't think they have made any of the disposals from that list "public" yet. I had a search about the time Mountsorrel got a letter saying they were unsuccesful in getting the GC single bolster (must have been last October) and found nothing and haven't seen anything since mentioning any of them.

I saw on Facebook that the SNCF mineral wagon has been 'gifted' to Midsomer Norton (S&D Railway Heritage Trust). They're appealing for funds to help towards transport costs.
Not seen anything about the other items yet.

No connection with me, I just spotted it. Any idea what company this is from?

£12k for a grounded body??? I think the seller needs to come back to this planet!

The previous carriage bodies on eBay that were looking for silly money are still on ebay looking for silly money.

It's apparently in Southampton and looks to possibly be green, which points towards ex SR. Of those companies, it is definitely not ex-LSWR (wrong roof profile); I'm leaning towards an LBSCR 5 compartment third. The mouldings above the windows look right to me; I'm equivocating slightly because most examples I can find have five rather than six panels on the end.

Is that a 6-wheel coach roughly between the size of our 4-wheel ones and, say, Brighton 1st 7598?

    Regards,

Well, yes, it’s about £11,998 too high, but given its condition compared with some which have been saved, you’d probably more than save the difference on the overhaul costs. It looks good enough, I hope someone can negotiate a future for it.

Always makes me smile, when you see some of these monopoly money/footballers wages prices being asked. Some of these sellers just see the £ sign..... Mind you by the same token there are those out there, who just keep hitting the "bid" button. A friend of a colleague at work is on occasion one of those.......
