Hello Sidmouth - long time no see !.

Sounds good to to me, we should talk to Richard and your guys ( I think that that they are the same guys ! ) to give it a good bash - perhaps with Bellerophon ?.

It would be good to see you again this year, I know that you still sneak out from time to time !.

To be honest... I can't think of anything more fitting for her final year, than to be reunited with some of the locomotives she helped to roll out the door at Gorton Works... back in her home town...

..well go on then... a thrash up the bank too!!!!!!

We've had a chat with the Foxfield chairman in the Causey tonight and he has strenuously denied rumours that the William Francis will be visiting to provide an appropriate load for the Beyer Peacock to shunt at the forthcoming gala on its way to Manchester!!!

What was the chairman doing up there, he doesn't normally escape the borders of Stoke-on-Trent! I hope you guys had your jabs after you'd talked to him \:D/

I doubt that anyone would be interested in the engine being dressed as its local sister and positioned by the head gear with a few rags in the smoke box then.

Well, our Bayer IS going to Manchester in August and we are not far away so.... . Must have been the black sheep in the Causey last night.

I am almost a native after a week in the area - two more weeks yet. I have some understanding of the lingo after a number of nights "on the toon".

Is it true that the photocharter involving a certain articulated locomotive at Foxfield Colliery is taking bookings?

I dont know where you got that from, It sounds a great idea but nothing is in the bag yet.

I can tell you the we are interested in above loco paying a visit - "we" had one of the Four class members working not more than 10 miles from Foxfield...before my time however ! ( being a young chap and all that ).

Would love to see the engine in question at foxfield, the grapevine says that it is owned by 3 brothers, their dad left it to them, they ar still arguing who owns which bits!

Ok gentlemen ( and ladies) as this seems to have gone quiet of late I guess it's time to let the cat out of the bag as to this years guest engine.......

all things being equal we should have Backworth No 47 aka Moorbarrow from the Lincs wolds. Should be a good opportunity to see this engine stretch her legs for the first time and also to see 2 NCB blue engines together.

    Indeed, more to follow.

Time to blow off the cobwebs and ensure that we put on a first class show. Time also to ensure that the PR starts to "flow", I have this in hand.

    Nice piece in Steam Railway.

No Duke Dog for us this time but our fleet will have the same wow factor !. Still a number of issues to resolve including a second visitor & I have room for more trade stands. If you are interested please PM me.

A norrow gauge visitor may be fun + the miniture railway opens over the next B/H weekend.

The Bayer is running for the first time this year over the weekend, Bellerophon will awake soon. Work is to restart on Whiston soon following it owners weakness for some kind of 47 ( not our visitor but a mainline thing at another railway ).

Dubs has its brake cylinder back on follwing casting repairs, rebushing, reaming etc. We may need it one day !.
