Steam-wise, the following locos have all worked the VSOE:-

4472, 6024, 34027, 34067, 35028, 60009. (6024 only on one aoccasion - a special working to Paignton if my memory serves me correctly ) 850 was due to make an appearance, but never made it. 60163 will be added to the list of locos in April.

On the diesel/electric front, all sorts of locos have been used, particulally on the Folkestone runs, which before the widespread use of 67's could see almost anything. Besides the more predictable 73's 33's and 47's, I have seen a 31, 37's a 59 and some 66's. I believe a 58 once worked down to Folkestone and a 50 was used on a Southampton Docks working. I've never heard of a 56 or 60 working the pullmans, but am williung to stand corrected. Also think that E5001 was used once. Maybe someone can confirm.

On a different note, but still related to the thread, what an incredible day 14th Feb was! If you had spent all day in a triangle between Woking, Alton and Basingstoke, you could have seen no less than 5 superb steam locos in action - all Pacifics. 34007, 34067, 35028, 60019 and 60163. Not bad for over 41 years since the end of Southern steam!

Although not a conventional VSOE excursion, you can add Bradley Manor into that list, having worked the 'Staite Pullman' with 6024.

Small correction, 6024 has hauled the VSOE on two occasions - one being the Staite Pullman with Bradley Manor and the second being a Padd to BTM working.
