    Although not a major Loco building center, Brush works in loughborough did produce some Iconic Locos. but no more. It has been announced that the site is to close by the end of the year with the loss of 300 jobs

    Sad news. As a young spotter I remember seeing this picture in one of the mags and being totally impressed with the shape of the 'Brush Type 4' and of course, that gorgeous livery!

    Is there any merit in acquiring the part of the works adjacent to the railway for use as an engineering centre?
