5526 arrived this morning and 6435 has just been loaded ready to depart

 

6435 about to depart? For where? I thought it was already on the railway and an essential part of the gala.

I'm confused!

 

Due to be replaced by another Pannier. 6435 going back to Bodmin.

 

Just found out via the IG page. 6435 has apparent tube issues.

Nice to see 4612 again (last saw it in August 2016). Ticket all been booked for Saturday. Out of curiosity what time is Ropley site/yard due to shut for the public? Hoping to possibly get yard shots of the visitors and the home fleet.

 

Would someone mind telling me what time you can park in the field at Ropley from. Cheers

 

Just been helping to set up an outdoor and socially distanced sales stand for Friends of 80150 and confirm parking in field available, I was told parking from 8 but I'm not sure if that is gospel or not. 21B may be able to help. Also, all the correct locos seemed to be in steam....

 

As no further information has been made public could someone who visits the MHR tomorrow please post a timetable and if possible some indication of the loco allocations. This information should have been made available by now and I have no doubt that the lack of it has put some people off from attending without knowing the basics of what is going to happen. Many thanks in advance.

 

It has been available since Monday if you look on the channels on Facebook. Someone has explained the reason why information has been a bit sparse and all the reasons behind it

Had a great day helping out on 34058 Sir Frederick Piles sales stand on Ropley down platform.

 

Excellent day, all seemed to run smoothly and everyone seemed to behave sensibly and spread themselves out through the trains. Even the two coach shuttle, hauled by the pannier tank, wasn't a problem in terms of finding a spare table - at least when I was on it. The trip to Alton and back behind the Ivatt tank (temporarily deputising for the S15) with load 5 was a bonus too. Thank you to everyone involved, and I hope it continues to go well over the weekend.
