With this being the first major event of the year there has been a flood of footage appearing online so I’m sure the vast majority are “steamed out” this week. However, for anyone interested in a production style 30 minute round up of the four day event - fill your boots! I had a great time compiling this one - SVR should be proud of what they pulled off!

Sadly for me I didn't spend the weekend at the railway as originally hoped due to the guidelines and other personal reasons. However a 4am wake up and over 310 miles travelled up from Croydon I spent a few hours at Kidderminster and Foley Park to photograph locomotives there. In particular 6960 "Raveningham Hall" which is a very close personal favourite of mine. However one I am sharing below is of 2999 on its penultimate run of the gala before it failed that evening.

 

Not sure if I'm posting this on the right thread: 2999 Lady of Legend extended stay at the S.V.R. for those who missed out riding behind her or who wanted a 2nd ride out behind her again, apart from the weather been a bit wild wet and windy yesterday 5.5.21. in the valley my pic of 2999 at Bridgnorth running alongside 1501 Hawksworth Pannier and 2857 on a 3 timetabled steam service day 1 of the event before she is returned back to Didcot: Davo 56F

Been a lovely penultimate day for 2999 at the SVR today. Here are some shots which had a little bit of help from the great team of Driver Richard Gardner and Fireman Tom Clarke, an idyllic Spring day.
