Bigger on the inside than out. Hence the nickname of it being a TURDIS

Clearly whilst the images are welcome and thanks to @Robin Moira White for sharing , for many looking forward to travelling the full line again on its own it doesn't answer the $10000 question , does the progress shown mean the installation is on track ?

Also a little matter of providing two more concrete bases for a lighting tower and CCTV camera plus of course the relay room and associated barriers/wigwam lights.
Does the bowmac road crossing have to be renewed? The ten thousand dollar question has to be asked to the Somerset County Council and contractors not the WSR.

I'd like to add my thanks for the photos, and to those offering up silly comments - it's made the thread worth reading for a change!:)

It's good to see some humour, even if a bit lame, on the WSR thread instead of the usual aggro.

Hmmm Looks like I got that description of the flashing crossing lights totally wrong then.
Certainly GOOGLE was not my friend either! Pretty sure though I have somewhere or the other heard them refereed
as wigwam lights but obviously not.
Glad to add to the humour section though even if it was at my own expense.

You were thinking of wig-wag lights. Clearly Google speak with forked tongue :)

Thanks for the update. Interesting that it looks like they are not installing any cable ducts through the floor to the external draw pit. Do these boxes usually have above ground cable entry?

Interesting that the American name for these is a Porta Potty. perhaps that's a more apt name for use on the WSR? ;)

Whilst Washford signal box has been gutted to what it was before circa 1975/6 due to the actions of the current WSR PLC board as was and is over the last 15 months.

Great to see the WSR back on its feet, one of the UK's best heritage railways.

I watched the prompt 1000 departure this morning on the webcam, fantastic. Well done to all involved.

Hope to get down once MD is open in July/August.
