    Whilst the museum seems to be part of the Swanage Railway, as this a separate thread, wouldn't this be more appropriate in the Narrow Gauge section?

    I only happened to come across this thread by chance, as I don't often loiter in the Standard Gauge section!

    Hope to visit in June, Is Swanage to Corfe, then Corfe to Norden and back to Swanage allowed as the present time table does not allow this?

    "The tunnel will also be closed due to issues with rotten pit props which we have been unable to replace in time for this years opening.
    We are also be running the original Ruston that worked in the area."
    There are 3 narrow gauge locos, does the other Ruston, "Snapper" still need work on the gear box and does the Railmotor Simplex work?
    agree, the other option is to start a new thread in the narrow gauge section with a link to this one?

    Also open on 30th August (Bank Holiday Monday) and 26th September apparently.
