    Went out this morning to see the Northern Belle and the sole TPX class 68 working across the Pennines

    For once I can tell you exactly where it is as for many years we holidayed at the holiday cottages at Wooden which involves crossing a level crossing at this point to access the main road!

    Its about a mile south of Alnmouth Station, (no idea why its called junction as its actually just the southern end of an up line loop!)

    Looking elsewhere its suggested that an Azuma in front has clattered a registration arm (whatever one of those is google suggests its part of the OHL equipment) and lost nearly 3hrs between Alnmouth and Chathill, so assume the Northern Belle is just stuck in the traffic!

    Its just a farm.The crossing was good for train watching an a couple of times when we were up there L/E steam was held in the loop which gave the little one a chance to see steam stationary then moving away!
