In a change to the advertised loco roster, 813 and 1501 will be doing the honours for next three days on the Adventurer and Explorer respectively.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I'd already booked on the Adventurer tomorrow and a day with 813 is a bonus.

 

A couple from 813 today....

 

1501, 7714 and 43106 in use for the bank holiday and half term week (Adverturer, Flyer and Explorer respectively).

 

A good mix of traction this week with 1501, 7714, 813, 43106 and 34027 taking it in turn to have a spin, with D821 and 50s in use on the Pioneer plus a visit from 66737 tomorrow.

34027, 7714, 43106 and 1501 in use over the weekend along with 50035. Tuesday to Thursday is 813 and 1501 (Adventurer and Explorer respectively) while Friday is now just D8568 and D9551 with the cancellation of the Wanderer.

I'm informed that 75069 will be on the bridgnorth turn tomorrow vice 34027. It's been awhile since the standard 4 had a run.

 

7714 and 2857 are due to be the main stays of the next week with appearances from 43106, 1501 and D1015. 2857 also be on the GW throughout the week.

6960, 43106, 2857 and 34027 in use over the first 1940s weekend. 34027 is on the Explorer (11.00 ex-KR) Monday to Friday while 6960 is on the Adventurer/Sightseer (11.00 ex-BH) Wednesday and Thursday. These are the final workings prior to 6960's ticket expiring.

Wednesday 30th June and Thursday 1st July currently shown on the SVR website, with 43106 on the Friday.

Taken last night before the final departure of the night, just two more days left for her....

 

Just a reminder for any readers that tomorrow and thursday are 6960's planned final runs of the current boiler ticket.
It's doing the Adventurer/Sightseer excursion trains both days (11.00 ex-BH and 13.00 ex KR).

 

And all done, the last trip leaving Hampton Loade at 16:45 for Bridgnorth, looking and sounding nothing like a loco ready for overhaul.

 

Will it be off to the seaside at Margate, now?

34027 is actually in use today as well rather that 43106.

 

I heard a reference to that but that might have not been anything more than a rumour/guess.
