I've certainly seen it speculated here on NP that it will be doing a stint down there

Sadly the sun didn't want to shine on my final photos of 6960 in steam....

I had a last ride with 6960 on Wednesday, at which time the BBC weather forecast for Thursday afternoon was cloudless. If only it had stayed that way...

As per the latest Branchlines: BRANCH LINES July 21 | svrlive
813 is off to the Mid-Norfolk for the summer.
1501 is having work to its bottom end.
43106 will be having some attention given to its regulator shortly as it's fairly worn.
34027 has had a recurring issue recently of its whistle getting stuck open. This has now been resolved.
75069 has had a quiet year so far (only 4 or 5 days in use) but is expected to be used more over the summer
6960 is expected to be collected shortly.
1450 will also be going elsewhere for its overhaul due to lack of capacity at Bridgnorth at present.

Svr live has the allocations for the mid week trains the other way round . 7714 from Bridgnorth and 34027 from Kidderminster. Which is correct, and which way do they face?

Hmm, the staff intranet site matches svrlive, though I'm sure it was different this morning when I posted so maybe an amendment since then.
On Wednesday, 34027 was facing KR and 7714 was facing BH.

If it is 7714 on the service from Bridgnorth I might book since I will be staying in a Shropshire, otherwise I will probably walk in the area and time it so i am in a suitable location for a photograph.

The website loco allocations has been updated and now matches SVR Live.

Another Friday, another week's loco allocations. We are now entering the period of daily running.
43106 on the Bridgnorth set all days, 7714 on the Flyer (10.15 ex KR) all days (when it runs), and 34027 in use over the weekend on the Explorer (11.00 KR) with 2857 doing the honours Monday onwards.

Wednesday 21st sees a Saphos tour visiting thus an amended service is running.

2857 will work S1 (10.15 ex-KR) in place of 7714 tomorrow, uncertain of how the mid-week is affected.

What are next in line after 4930 and 42968? Presumably 4160 as a "quickie, but what else? I'd like to see 7325 and 80079 but that's a personal choice.

    Not forgetting 82045 as well!
I've heard rumours of 7325 (or rather 9303) and 45110 but we shall have to see.

7812 coming together at Tyseley, followed by 7802.

All dates are particularly difficult, and COVID-19 disruptions may continue, and I stand by for people to give updated targets! From publicly available info however:

7812 from the Erlestoke Manor Fund and being worked on at Tyseley might be first back?
4930 was last year given a 2022 date
42968 [to be turned out as 13268] was given a 2022 date in the 82045 trust's recent notes
Sharp Stewart 0-4-4T Dunrobin (contract for Beamish) is also to be fitted in
7802 also with the EMF at Tyseley
    82045 was given a possible 2023 date in the 82045 trust's notes
    4150 not sure

The departing head of engineering said last year the railway should aim to have no more than two locos in the Loco Works which suggests 4 of the 5 currently there would move out before anything else came in. If so, it might still be a while yet.

A straw in the wind is that the owner of 1450 will have it overhauled off the SVR, as there's not capacity at Bridgnorth at the moment.

    Patrick
