Bahamas going out solo?

 

It would appear so as the diesel is to be removed at Paddington on arrival of the ECS stock from Southall.

 

In light of the hot weather, does anyone know if this train is running as planned? With Bahamas? Diesel up front? Any news would be greatly appreciated.

Left Paddington with Bahamas on the front, diesel detached from the back. Just crossed over to the relief at Southall West

 

Sensible load 10. Unless my eyes are deceiving me there are 2 chocolate and cream Mk1s on the rear of the consist. Look like Riviera Coaches.

 

Yep, no MetCam Pullmans, mostly mk2 and the two chocolate and cream Mk1 FOs

Passing Kintbury this morning.

 

Following the late running 1A90 from Penzance, it’s put us 24 down at Lavington but we stopped at a red so guess there must be a signalling fault of some kind

 

Any reason for it not being there on the outward leg? Not that I'm complaining!

what a fantastic run out, damn it was hot but Bahamas put on a real show lustily twanging the taught hot metals whereever it went with plenty of Stanier hooter for good measure
