46115 looked and sounded superb at Langcliffe with load 12 and no diesel

 

From RTT it looks like SG was held approaching Settle Jn whilst the late running NT to Carlisle cleared Horton in R. If ever a man needed an incentive to run hard . . . A report from the train could be interesting as 9L at SJn was cut to 5L at Blea Moor. Time of around 21 mins from a slow? start.

 

I was only going to pop down to Edge Hill this morning, but ended up following it to Helwith Bridge. Scots Guardsman looked and sounded superb. Video to follow shortly.

My contribution, Newsholme (only 3 of us at this usually populous place, Covid related? Think not, early start, warm day more likely!), then against the light at Long Preston to try and get some exhaust. Early into Hellifield, late away.

Thanks for the excellent photos (as usual) and the much appreciated (by me) crew details. It was good to see that a couple of the less frequently appearing names, Chris Holmes and Peter Kirk, were back plying their trade amongst the Cumbrian fells - and didn't they do well!

 

Any news on the motive power for the CME on the 4/9 ?

 

Reported on Railcam that 46115 has been failed and CME left CNF diesel-hauled.
