The RTC has contacted all passengers to tell us that this trip will be double headed steam from Bishops Lydeard to Watchet only where people can remain for their visit or travel onward by coach to Dunster or Minehead.

That makes a lot of sense to me. Nice to know. And it has already been hinted that the double header will be both of the Manors.

So three steam locos on one charter. That's rare.

Presumably they will then have to take the ECS to BA to run round, or a diesel will have to come out from Williton to take the train back to there?

With temperatures around the 28 to 30 degree mark for the next week let's hope that the tour will run as scheduled. <BJ>

It will be hot in the buses if that is the case for those travelling on to Minehead.

The first day of rain is forecast for Saturday (typical).

Hopefully plans are in place to replace the open top buses that are due to operate to Minehead. <BJ>

According to the tour company the mode of transport to Minehead will be coaches, not buses.

Coach A, seats 4F & B. They'll do nicely :) . Pity the weather forecast isn't looking good, after the last few days, but hey ho.

Not a tour to be undertaken without an umbrella I suggest.

As long as it doesn't blow inside out.

The good news is that my rain dance has eliminated the risk of lineside fires. ;) <BJ>

Should be dry by the time you arrive in the west of Somerset, the morning rain having disappeared off into Wales - and thundery showers forecast from 1800 onwards.

Just approaching our water stop at Newbury Racecourse. Bahamas looked good at Paddington, and sounds great! Breakfast competed- it was excellent :)

A good job by the support crew to turn it round and have it looking like that after an exhausting day out on Thursday

A short video from this morning near Hungerford. Much more favourable weather for watching and filming steam locomotives.
