Well we are in the process of moving to the area so you may well see us getting out hands dirty at Llangollen in the not to distant future. Although I have to say we've also been following developments on the Cambrian with great interest too.

Nice to see 3802 running steam services to Glyndyfrdwy along side the DMU service running hopefully this should make the new Llangollen railway trust a good turnover of fares from travellers wanting to travel to Glyndyfrdwy in order for other restoration jobs and running costs are covered and maybe see 7754 run again later this year or next.

What entity is actually selling tickets - the Trust or Llangollen and Corwen Railway (Trading) Ltd?

    Wonder if you tempted fate.

Reported on the unofficial Llangollen Facebook page that there is no steam tomorrow or over the weekend due to technical issues. Dmu as the replacement. Sad news to hear, hopefully nothing to much to sort out for a return next week instead.

I tried looking on the LLangollen railway website but it doesn't seem to have much detail on services/timetables etc is there a new website I'm not aware of?

Best of luck with the re-opening, I fully intend coming down sometime soon.

The railway does seem to be having problems with updating the website and may be limited with funds, so might need help?
However they seem to update the FB page, which does not require a FB logo to see it.

It’s just a lot easier for organisations to publish info via Social Media, and have it reach more people, than a traditional website. If you’ve got the time, skill and inspiration to keep the Llangollen website bank up to date maybe you should consider volunteering your expertise?

Agreed Simon. It's more out of frustration I made the remark. What's more you just have to look at a facebook etc link that's been given and when you click on it you have to be a member to access it...... Anyway enough of the thread drift.

Websites are more difficult to update than social media. Fewer people have the skills or access to update websites, and therefore it needs specific people to update them. Their time is often limited, and response can be much slower than posting something on social media.

If you need the information, you may have to bite the bullet ...

The website was PLC owned and unavailable to the trust. The trust is building a new site but it does take a bit of time.
