A dull morning in Staffordshire. 45231 passing the LNW footbridge at the site of Madeley station.
I had hoped the Black 5 may have pushed the exhaust higher this morning.
The tree clearing here sometime during the lockdown months isn't lasting looking at those Rowan saplings by the restricted clearance sign.

Assume the Class 47 is at the rear for the same reason as with the B1 on Sunday last, and the whole train will be turned for the return.

Here's a quick video of it's progress, with plenty of steam to spare, at Mill Meece, between Crewe and Stafford this morning...

I am also on the Magna Carta. Standard Class, coach H. Getting on at Birmingham International. It will be my first Saphos trip for over 2 years. They're still using social distancing so it will be interesting to see how it compares to other post-covid tours I've done. I had to buy 2 tickets as they don't sell individual ones, so I believe I'll have a table to myself!

Good to be back out on the Shakespeare Line aka The North Warwick Line, the diesel kept quiet which was nice and didn't spoil the show.
