    Thx Neil. D.L. Bradley "Locomotives of The Southern Railway" The Merchant Navy Rebuilds were the finest Express locomotives to work in the Country. Just as the BR 9F 2-10-0s stood above all other freight classes so did the rebuilds in the ranks of the Pacifics. end quote
