Loco was supposed to be Braunton. But that’s had a few problems at Crewe

Return loco & PO Brake Wednesday night/ Thursday.

Almost certainly diesel hauled as there are no water stops. The last water stop is Hinksey Yard, so 46100 will arrive at Paddington with about 2000 gallons in the tender.
It looks like a swift bit of shunting at Southall as well - 10 minutes to detach 46100 & PO brake and attach DL loco and departing.

    Cheers, Neil

    Morning all,

Couple of shots of Royal Scot this morning passing through Tilehurst - sounded magnificent pounding down the Thames valley.

having done well to recover some of a 14 minute deficit and arriving at Dorridge just 7 down , the delay meant the train followed the 10:09 all stations from Dorridge . Pictures to follow

Running late, so missed service trains (also chainsaws, tractors, motorcycles, dogs, etc.)

A great sound up Hatton, the loco could be heard from Warwick. The 47 stayed quiet which was great, though I'd imagine it might kick into life up Old Hill on the return.

look forward to seeing the footage . Whereabouts did you go on Hatton ? I stuck with my Lapworth plan . It was eased but a nice trail of exhaust made the image

Took a drive to Hatton Locks, no good, sun over the top, so we settled for the safe bet at Hatton, along with everyone else. Culham looked the place to be.

Here's my footage of Royal Scot heading to the Severn Valley Railway in gorgeous lighting from early to mid morning. I filmed her at South Stoke, Hatton Station and Widney Manor Station. I hope you enjoy it.

If anyone is planning to photograph/video the Welshman railtour with Royal Scot tomorrow, you'll be pleased to hear that the mk.1s will be at the front :).
That is apart from when the tour is diesel hauled between Maindee and Cardiff. <BJ>
