Tender and trailing truck axleboxes were off commonwealth bogies and that’s about all I can think of.
I do my own stunts and always carry a parachute with me so I’m still here ;)

I just had a silly thought that unfortunately I feel obliged to share...
    ---
Imagine the scene - the railway equivalent of Quick Fit

Customer comes in with a truck load of wheelsets

Customer: Could you check these wheelsets over - you know, that ultrasound thingy and other stuff you do.

Worker: Certainly sir. Have they been in a derailment then?

    Customer: Well... sort of...
    ---
    ;)

Bespoke with a short design life, a gentle right foot required to avoid flat spots and scrapping them when braking

Anyone know what happened to the coaches that were with it during the filming on the NYMR?

It is believed that Riley's were involved, as one of their vans was present at the GCR during running in trials last year.

you have to say well done to those who designed and built it that so many believed it real or engineered in such a way that the components were genuine railway and could be reused in preservation

The builder of the loco is on another forum elsewhere, and has stated he had to sign a NDA

NDAs are very common in the movie industry.... I did see that the loco was shipped to Norway after testing at the GCR - never say any reports of how it was used over there... did it run on NSB rails?

Just as a matter of interest, but what was actually 'French' about this loco?

I think it just "looked" more French than any other Continental type.......and more Brit than anything else!

You'll need to go to the film next year to see how it looks when they've done all the post-production trickery on it!
