There is a 5 coach set running around, so it might be that it is used on that. Doesn't sound too promising though, going by reports of its performance with the goods train.

There are some connections at Levisham and Goathland, where one train is scheduled to leave 3 minutes before the other departs. Given that the two trains will be passing each other in the stations, is it still possible to change from one train scheduled to leave at 1417, onto one scheduled at 1420?

Last in first out logic applies so, providing you are quick, it is possible to swap trains at both Levisham and Goathland.

Not quite like when you were firing on that beer train on the CVR, surely!

2999 Lady of Legend at levisham today, first attempt at using the video function on camera, so not the best video you will see more than likely

Looks like 80136 is on the 0958 ex Pickering. It was always interesting how 92134 would be on the front of that when it was at the wrong end of the line.

2999 is on the 11:37 from Grosmont, no banker on the back. Should be interesting upto Goathland.

Looked good as it approached Goathland on the webcam. I did wonder how it would have performed on a damp rail as it had to work all the way and it was only load 5.

The Saint took a while to get into its stride but once it did it managed the climb in fine style.

Indeed it did. Someone posted on another forum that Tornado did it in 12 mins, 2999 managed it in 13.

Tornado has treated the banks as if she were on the GN mainline. Rumour has it that 2999 took 7 on the 17.15 ex Grosmont unassisted. I was in the wrong place - bugger.

Looking on the Grosmont and Goathland webcams 2999 did take 7 up the bank taking about 15 mins which is pretty much I think 2 mins later than the usual section time

It was 15 minutes late into Goathland. Did it leave Grosmont equally late? After the start to the earlier climb I feared it had needed a bit of a slog with 7 on.

Looks like it has been a good day and whilst only looking at webcams seems way busier than the SVR gala last weekend.
