    Very nice. I recall the excitement I felt as a kid when I first saw the Duchess of Montrose..also crimson Lake..on the West coast line as it went through Runcorn near Liverpool. I used to go Acton Bridge too..same line but near Northwich when I was 10 years old. I went with a school friend on our bikes from Frodsham .Parents wouldn't allow that nowadays. Just happens that today I photographed the Duchess of Sutherland. Crimson Lake is my favourite livery. LMS isn't it ?

    When did you see Duchess of Montrose in crimson lake? She was in that livery from 1938 t0 1948 only.
