    "To maximise our fundraising and to comply with HMRC regulations we need to outline the suggested pricing. The actual cost of a single ticket to Railway Children is £300, plus a suggested voluntary donation of £450 per seat.

    PRICING £300 represents the actual cost of the seat ticket to Railway Children. Donations are voluntary and do not affect your entry to this event. Every donation contributes directly to children who are forced to leave homes that have become unbearable through poverty, abuse, violence and neglect. If you wish to help the charity with its mission, then a donation on top of the ticket price would be much appreciated.

    GIFT AID Your donation is eligible for Gift Aid.

    VAT This event is not subject to VAT. Full details will be given on your invoice."

    Let's hope that all those who book feel able to donate big money on top of the ticket price. If it fills up with people just paying the ticket price then the whole point of the trip will be lost.

    So unless there are millionaire enthusiasts out there it's maybe time for them not to put their hands in their pockets.

    I was thinking that which is why I was surprised at the ticket price. I hope it’s made clear when booking that the ticket is at cost price.
    I assume Belmond are making a donation or at least taking no profit. I don’t think the loco owners will be able to offer their services at less than cost as they are both registered charities

    I was curious about how much more than the Belmond it would cost.
