Of all the people around the railway who might submit a stupid and spurious claim for being startled by steam, do you think photographers would be among them?! Again, to be consistent, will ALL use of such bridges be stopped during these times to ensure those that are so much more likely to be litigious (the general public) are kept away? It's an utter nonsense. BTW, it's nothing to do with ego to resist such rubbish, and I would simply ask the BTP to justify their edict and leave the hired-in security staff, who are likely to have no railway knowledge, out of it. When not trespassing, interfering with equipment or the safe running of the railway, there is no case for devoting such resources to supposedly protecting imbeciles who are too self-absorbed to notice these so-called threats to their safety.
