Outbound action of 7029 on a miserably cold day. Well done to all who attempted Harringworth !

. Weather, while cold, turned quite clement in the Welland Valley just before it was due over, and then turned foul again after it passed. The place was heaving, cars blocking roads all over the place.

Very enjoyable if very cold yesterday, spent the day around Melton Mowbray. Video from Rearsby, Lag Lane Melton Mowbray and then the station itself. Photos to follow. Thanks to all involved in running yesterdays tour!

Thanks for posting the vid'. Despite the cold (inside) it was an excellent day joining at Tyseley and carrying on after the obligatory pork pie at Melton Mowbray to Corby. The staff were brilliant even when it came to having no seats for us (the email had the wrong coach letter on it). It was so nice to have no diesel interference for the last two trips, over Lickey and this one. Yes, I know the circumstances are different but it was still nice. Next for us is York when no doubt the DL will return especially as steam is off at Barrow Hill on the return. Neil

Passed 44871 just after Kings Sutton, if you were on the station you would of captured a timeless scene.
