No idea about tickets - but the following are currently visible in Real Time - seems an earlier departure than normal too:

Going like the clappers through Northumberland this morning, with the box on the back just ticking over.

 

It lost time at Low Fell and Heaton, leaving 32 down and was half an hour down at Widdrington. Missing a 20 minute loop at Wooden Gate pulled back most of that, but it was on time by Chathill and 8 early by Tweedmouth. Good running.

 

44871 through Banbury on the Shrewsbury trip, just a few minutes after Clun Castle heading the other way.

Don't quite know why it was put through the loop platform 1 instead of given a straight run through P2, given there was no other traffic around.
I would think it unlikely it's a gauging issue as the, presumably much less gauge-friendly, Clun Castle went through P2 just a few weeks ago.

 

44871 between Solihull and Olton.

 

Near Heyford, Oxon.

 

Destination in sight, 44871 disturbs the peace of a dull Shropshire day passing Shifnal churchyard, on time just before 12:30.

 

Meanwhile, on the other side of Shifnal...

 

.....and roaring towards the summit at Madeley............

Certainly wasn’t just ticking over pulling out of the loop at Drem. Diesel was going like the clappers…

 

Two for the price of one today at Tackley but in the dullest conditions possible. 44871 going north and 20 minutes later 7029 heading south to Bath. Clun didn't open up until it was just past me so not my day.

 

The trains passed Kings Sutton station, a unique specticle it was! Also includes 35028 on a Belmond later in the day:

 

'The Edinburgh Christmas Market' hauled by LMS 7P No.46115 'Scots Guardsman', seen passing Northallerton Station, Chester-Le-Street Station, Whinney Hill and Lamberton.

Half an hour down heading south through Alnmouth. For once I don't mind the bloke in the red coat.

It's the first time I've tried a shot like this, fast train at night.
